Mission Statement

Independence Care System (ICS) was founded to support adults with physical disabilities to live independently and participate fully in community life.  Before ICS, there might as well have been a neon sign at the front of the health care system saying people with disabilities are not welcome.  ICS put up a real sign that says: “Adults with Physical Disabilities Welcome Here.”  That is our mission.  Collaborating with our members to coordinate the long-term care services they need to be independent is our work.
